Provenance Vineyards expands brand portfolio with the launch of Weekday: an organic, low alcohol wine brand with three premier varietals

[Lodi. CA - Sept. 13, 2024] Provenance Vineyards, a long-standing Napa Valley brand, is thrilled to announce its newest venture in the release of Weekday. Known for creating wines that celebrate some of California’s most iconic appellations, Provenance is stepping into the growing category of wellness-oriented wines as a further example of their commitment to meeting the demands of the changing wine consumer market.

Weekday will begin distribution this fall with three premier varietals: Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, and Sauvignon Blanc. Weekday is proud to be the first wellness wine on the market to check the following four attributes:

·      Made with organically grown grapes

·      Low alcohol

·      Zero sugar

·      Low calorie

With the slogan of ‘Sip Without Sacrifice,’ Weekday’s mission is to deliver ‘better for you’ wines without sacrificing quality or taste. Weekday can be enjoyed any day of the week, without feeling the tradeoffs tomorrow.

Weekday is sustainably crafted as part Provenance’s commitment to environmentally responsible business practices. Weekday’s fruit is organically and sustainably farmed. This commitment extends to the winery’s conversion to solar power and the use of eco-friendly glass and recycled label stock. Provenance takes responsibility of their contribution to the preservation of the environment.

Provenance’s Owner, Allen Lombardi, states, “We pursued this brand to connect with the current consumer and really bring them what they are looking for: a quality, delicious wine to enjoy without sacrificing tomorrow. The wellness category is one we strongly believe in and with the release of Weekday, we are confident it will meet the demands of modern wine drinkers. We can’t wait to share it.”

Noel Basso, Director of Winemaking, shared his thoughts on Weekday’s three premier varietals. “This was a very fun project to work on with the winemaking team. When we approached Weekday, we tried to apply a different thought process than our core Provenance portfolio. I wanted to create a very elegant, very approachable wine made for wine drinkers of any level, and we really think we achieved that. The Chardonnay is made in a pristine style with minimal oak. The Sauvignon Blanc is made in a classic style, with good, weighted acidity. The Cabernet is rich, with soft tannins and a round mouthfeel. It holds the weight you want in a Cabernet while remaining easy drinking. Our team is excited for this brands future.”

Weekday will be hitting markets in select states within the quarter. More information on the wines can be found at www.DrinkWeekday.com.
